Why booking is harder for an aesthetics studio

A salon books a haircut. An aesthetics or wellness studio books a treatment, and every treatment is different. Body contouring, skin tightening, lymphatic drainage and a facial take different amounts of time and need different prep. Many studios are run by one person who is in the treatment room most of the day. So the questions pile up in DMs and voicemail while the owner works.

  • Clients ask which treatment is right before they'll book.
  • Each treatment has its own length, so a generic booking calendar fills badly.
  • Bookings arrive by DM, text and phone, then get copied into a calendar.
  • Client history lives in the owner's memory, not in a record.
  • Med-spa-style menus grow, and the website falls behind the menu.

How we'd set it up for a wellness or aesthetics studio

We'd usually start with the treatment menu, because the booking system is only as clear as the menu behind it.

  1. Group the menu the way clients think. For example, sculpting treatments in one group and restorative treatments in another. Each treatment gets a plain description and its session length.
  2. Book from the treatment. Each treatment has its own book button, so the client picks the service first and the calendar shows times that fit its length. Buffer time between appointments is your call.
  3. The client record, created at booking. The appointment and the client land in your owner dashboard in the same step.
  4. Confirmations and reminders. By email, or by text when the client opts in.
  5. Health and intake wording stays yours. Any questions about health history or contraindications are written or approved by you, not by us.

What we built for Ancora Body

Ancora Body is past work: a wellness and aesthetics studio in Englewood, NJ. We created the name, the website, an online booking system and an owner dashboard. The studio now operates under a different name. See the use case →

The website organized the studio's treatments into two groups. One covered body sculpting: ultrasonic cavitation body contouring, RF skin tightening and wood therapy body sculpting. The other covered restoration: lymphatic drainage massage, hot stone therapeutic massage and vibrational sound therapy. Each treatment listed its session length and had its own book button.

What we don't do

  • We don't write medical or results claims for your treatments. What a treatment does is your wording.
  • We don't give clinical advice or decide who is a candidate for a treatment.
  • We don't text clients without their consent.

Wellness studio questions

Can clients book a specific treatment, not just a time slot?

Yes. On the Ancora Body website, each treatment had its own book button and listed its session length, so the client chose the treatment before choosing a time.

Do you work with studios outside New York?

Yes. Ancora Body was a wellness and aesthetics studio in Englewood, New Jersey. The first review is a Zoom call, so you don't need to be local to start.

Why is Ancora Body shown as past work?

We created the name Ancora Body, along with the website, the online booking system and the owner dashboard. The studio now operates under a different name, so we show Ancora Body as past work.

Will you write the descriptions of my treatments?

We can lay out your menu and make it easy to book from. What each treatment does, and any health or results language, is yours to write or approve.

Can reminders go out by text?

Yes, to clients who opt in. Email and text are separate choices. Clients who don't opt in get their confirmation by email.
